Iwane-ryū 岩根流
Committed is committed. Buys super armor with the longest telegraph in the game.
Water 水
Mizuchi-ryū 蛟流
Takes the enemy's shape. May abandon any committed line, and pays for it in damage.
Fire 火
Homura-ryū 炎流
Believes the first decision settles the fight. The fastest openers, locked late.
Wind 風
Nowaki-ryū 野分流
Knows every school and belongs to none. Fights at reach, never in place.
Void 空
Mushin-ryū 無心流
Cannot be read, because there is nothing fixed to read.
Light 光
Kōmyō-ryū 光明流
Shows the enemy to themselves, and hides nothing of its own.

Water beats Fire beats Earth beats Water.
Light beats Void beats Wind beats Light.
The advantage is tempo, not damage — because the loadout screen must not beat the player.
